Calvary Chapel of Amherst County (formerly Calvary Fellowship) started in January 2000 with a small group of believers meeting in a home seeking the Lord's will concerning a church. We felt there was a need for a balanced church in our area. A church where the Lord is worshipped in Spirit and truth (John 4:23,24).
Our desire is to be a balanced Christ-centered fellowship committed to the verse by verse teaching of the Bible and committed to reaching Amherst County and beyond with the good news of Jesus while embracing the work and leading of the Holy Spirit all in an atmosphere of grace. Our chief purpose is to "Know Him and Make Him Known."
We are affiliated with the Calvary Chapel movement which began in Costa Mesa, CA.
