Calvary Chapel Q&A

Q: What is the vision of the church?
A: We are committed to equipping people to become fully devoted servants of Jesus Christ. We want everyone to connect with God and others, grow in their relationship with Jesus, serve in their church and community, and share their faith in Jesus.
Q: What are Calvary services like?
A: We take a simple approach to worship. We simply get together, worship the Lord, and study the scriptures verse by verse.

Q: How do  you handle offerings and giving?
A: We feel giving is between you and the Lord. It is an act of worship that should be done joyfully.  So, we don't pressure anyone to give.  No offerings are taken during the service, but we have an offering box and online giving where you can give as you are led.  We do not do stewardship campaigns for we believe that where God guides He will provide.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We have a relaxed atmosphere.  Come dressed in a way that you are comfortable.
Q: What programs are offered for kids?
A: We offer ministries for kids on Sunday morning and Wednesday nights.

Q: How can I get involved?
A: We do not do an official membership.  You can simply come and get to know us while we get to know you.  After a period of time to get to know each other, if you feel led to get involved in a particular ministry you can approach the church leadership about that possibility. You would need to fill out a servant application which can be obtained from the church leadership.
Q: What does it mean to be affiliated with Calvary Chapel?
A: Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship of churches who hold to a certain set of distinctives.  Being a part of Calvary Chapel provides some great opportunities for fellowship and support. Click here for more information about the Calvary Chapel movement.
Q: How is the leadership of the church set up?
A: The leadership structure is pretty simple. We have a pastor and elder(s) who lead the church. We also have a team of leaders over various ministries and functions.
