The Lord has blessed us with some great opportunities to reach out in our surrounding community once every few weeks on Wednesday nights. One Wednesday we handed out school supplies and another household goods with a Sheetz gift card. It has been a blessing to get out and meet people and pray with them. The Lord has also used our food bank to help those in need.

SUMMER MISSIONS TRIP UPDATE
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20, 21
The Lord did amazing things during our trip to KY. He exceeded all our expectations! We were able to, along with a couple from Canada, build three porches. Two were on a trailer in a trailer park and one was at an elderly widows house. Our team learned the value of reaching out to meet practical needs as we had people from both work sites at the youth rally on Friday night.
The youth rally was simply amazing! Genuine revival broke out as many wept at the altar and shared from the platform. One father of a teen came to Christ. Many in our group were ministering to and praying over people. This was an awesome evening where God poured out His Spirit in an amazing way.
The youth group from the church we partnered with, Mountain Harvest Baptist Church, and our youth group bonded in an amazing way. SUMMER MISSIONS TRIP
July 14-18 a team of adults and youth from our church will be doing missions work in the Appalachian Region of Eastern KY. We are partnering with a local church and plan to hand out gift cards in needy areas, do a construction project, host a youth rally, and conduct worship training. We will be handing out fliers to invite folks to the rally and a Vacation Bible School hosted by the church we are partnering with the following week. Please pray for the trip and consider donating to help with the costs. Our goal is to raise $3,000. You can give online using the link at the right of this page or send a check to the church address. "CRAZY LOVE"
Starting on Wednesday, May 19 we will be going through the "Crazy Love" DVD series based on the popular book by Pastor Francis Chan. This will be done in a small group format.

PRAISE THE LORD! WE MET OUR GOAL OF $1100 TO PROVIDE SHELTER FOR A FAMILY IN HAITI!
With the rainy season coming there is a huge need for shelter in Haiti. Franklin Graham’s organization Samaritan’s Purse has a great plan in place to provide shelter. According to their newsletter thousands are “living in makeshift tents with flimsy sheets strung over pieces of string to ward off the heat and the dust.” They are planning to build 12 by 12 shelters that will be able to temporarily house a family of up to 10. Here is the breakdown:
$664 – provides a shelter designed to last for two years
$113- provides gutters, downspout, and a cistern designed to capture rain water
$223- provides wooden bunk beds
$100- provides a water filter to give clean drinking water in case the rainwater is insufficient

An afternoon tea is planned for April 18 at 3 pm in the Youth Center of the church.Light refreshments will be served as we get to know one another.Bring your favorite tea cup or coffee mug and tell its story. The phrase “what would Jesus do?- WWJD” has become popular, but in order to know what Jesus would do we have to know what He did do- “what did Jesus do?- WDJD”. Come join us on Sunday morning at 11:00am as we study the Gospel of Mark and answer this important question. It may surprise you!

Marriage Enrichment Conference- February 14th
Plan to join us for our annual "Marriage Enrichment Conference." We will meet at Chi Chan's in Madison Heights at 4:45pm and then go to the church for an evening of fun, fellowship, and teaching.
